Wellbeing Wednesday
This month we had our first Wellbeing Wednesday. The children were invited to dress in brown clothing and the nursery provision was enhanced brown to use every opportunity to teach the children about the colour brown
The children learnt about handwashing and how to wash our hands properly. This was discussed with their key workers during group time, talking about the importance of handwashing and when we wash our hands. The children then carried out a practicle activity washing their hands. Handwashing was re-enforced during snack time when practitioners talked to children about washing away germs ready to eat.

Well Being Wednesday
Wednesday 28th September is our first Wellbeing
Wednesday of a new academic year. Our Well Being Wednesdays provide a focussed opportunity for us to teach children about different aspects of well being and enable us to provide additional support for our families too. Each Well Being Wednesday children are asked to dress in a particular colour. The colours link to the months of the year. This month is Brown (for Autumn) please dress your child in brown clothing. This helps make the day stand out more for children and encouarges children to learn about colours. The children will also be
learning about Handwashing through songs and activities and parents will be given advice on quitting
smoking. For further information on support for quitting smoking please speak
to our Oral Health Champion, Roxy or see our display in the cloakroom.
