Comic Relief Total
Thank you to everyone who dressed in red and supported us in raising money for Comic Relief. We have raised a total of £43.30 for this worthy cause.
Treasure Hunt Winners
The children drew 3 question sheets for the treasure hunt entries and here are the lucky winners who each receive an Easter Themed reward. The treasure hunt was 50 pence to enter and money raised was used to buy the prizes. 50 pence as left remaining which has been added to our collection for Comic Relief.
St Georges Day
The children celebrated St George's Day by wearing red and white clothes. St George is our Patron Saint of England. The children made shields with the red cross on and at story time we acted out the story of St George slaying the dragon with children dressing as and taking on the role of St George and The Dragon.

Spring Activities
During the Spring Term we are going to be exploring and learning about the life cycles of a butterfly and a frog. We are also going to be learning all about plants and how things grow.
S,A,T,P,I,N.
We are introducing a letters and sounds activity time for
children going to school in September. We will be focusing on the letter sounds
of s,a,t,p,i,n as these are the first letters children will learn at school and
form the basis of many words when learning how to read and write.
Try it, see
how many words you can write from the 6 letters, you will be surprised.
We
would like all children to bring in an item from home weekly beginning with the letter
sound we are focusing on. These will be used as part of
our activity and will stay at nursery for the week.
