World Book Day

We will be celebrating World Book Day on Thursday 7th March. We are inviting children to dress as their favourite book characters. More information will be sent out nearer the time.

Here are some character ideas for you. I know Asda and Tesco stock a lot at this time of year, but with a little bit of creativity there are lots of costumes you can put together from things you already have at home.

The Park in snow

With the snow causing so much disruption on the roads, causing people to slip and trip,closing schools and making the commute to work scary and long, we forget about how picturesque it can make everything. We really are blessed with a beautiful world.

Fun in the snow, sledging

The children have been enjoying the snow sledging down the hill, being brave and taking risks. All part of the EYFS development. After a busy play on the slopes, the children warmed up with a nice hot chocolate. A great way to explore the weather this winter.

 

First Snow Fall

The afternoon children enjoyed exploring the first flakes of snow on the field yesterday. They went on a mission to collect some snow to put in our water tray. They took the wheel barrow and had a little fun making snowballs and chasing each other along the way.
