Christmas

The children have adapted a display using Christmas hats. Children developed their cutting skills and use of scissors to cut out a triangle shape. Through this activity we discovered that many of our children arn't confident when it comes to using scissors. We have put this on our planning to develop further. At the moment we have provided the children with toy catalogues and scissors for them to practise their cutting and hold scissors correctly, learning how to make snips in paper and cut round objects and shapes. In the New Year we will extend this further with additional activities promoting using scissors.
