Birthday Parties

As part of our All About Me Autumn topic, we enhanced our Role Play area to celebrate different birthdays. We focused on numbers 2, 3 and 4 and encouraged children to talk about their experiences of birthdays, promoting speaking and developing children's conversational language. We used prompt picture cards to encourage children to about party bags, cakes, presents, balloons, party hats and blowers etc. Children also role played wrapping presents and practised their mark making skills writing party invitations and birthday cards.
