Road Safety

For our wellbeing Wednesday for April, we were teaching the children about road safety. The children talked about road safety at group time, looking at the different stages to cross the road safely. They also looked at and talked about safe places to cross such as zebra crossings and pelican crossings. They then went out in small groups and carried out a practical exercise in crossing the road. Each child received a road safety certificate. Later at story time we talked about wearing seat belts in the car and the children were introduced to some new songs about being safe in the car.
