School Readiness 2018/2019

Blackburn with Darwen are launching their new School Readiness documentation from September 2018. Their is a whole set of new procedures we will be carrying out. All pre-school children will have an assessment carried out during the Autumn term on school readiness. This will asses a range of skills such as putting on their own coat, turn taking, using the toilet independently, listening skills, friendships etc E.Y.P.'s will then work on developing any areas that children cannot do independently. There will also be a parent's session each term to discuss their child's progress and plan targets for the following term. There is also a parent's guide to support your child at home in preparing them for school. This will be given out during our first week back in September.
