Playdough

We have been making our playdough for the week. Children are encouraged to take part in the making of the playdough. They can have choices of what colour and what flavour we add to it. Children explore, mixing all the ingredients together and observe how all the dry ingredients change as water is added and the mixture changes to a dough. The dough is initially warm and then cools and the children then choose what equipment they wish to use with it. Playdough is easy to make and can last a few weeks if kept in a sealed container. why not try making some at home.

  • 8 tbsp plain flour
  • 2 tbsp table salt
  • 60ml hot water
  • food colouring
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
