In the moment nature

A few of our children had found some catkins outside and shown great interest in them. An E.Y.P. extended this interest by taking the children out in the park to find a tree they had come from. They learnt about all the new life that was appearing on the tree and collected many catkins. The following day they used the catkins in the mud kitchen outside and make a variety of catkin cakes, catkin curries, catkin soups etc etc.
