Preparing for Santa's visit
The morning children had a lovely time this Thursday taking some of our Christmas craft up to the conservatory. The children decorated the conservatory with Angels and baubles that they had created at nursery. The conservatory will be open for Corporation Park's Santa Visit on the 14th December (see newsletter) for you to view the children's creations. Ayaan, Azeem and Maryam S had their photo taken for the Lancashire Evening Telegraph. A group of 3 and 4 year olds then went down to the main park entrance to watch Sacred Heart school children singing their Christmas songs.

Autumn Term 2
Welcome back children and families. It's a cold start to the second half of our Autumn Term, the winter weather is definitely on its way. Please ensure children are dressed appropriately with winter coats, shoes, hats, scarves etc. All items should be clearly labelled with your child's name. We do have 30 children per session and if items go missing names will be needed for people to identify which items belong to each child.
The children had a lot of fun taking part in our Halloween themed activities at the end of last term. Well done all those children who dressed up for. Here are a few pictures of the activities.

Fun Fruit Week
Next week the children will be sampling different fruits over the week, we will be talking about the fruits they like and don't like, naming fruits for children and talking about fruits that they enjoy eating at home with their families, we will also be exploring the story Handa's Surprise.
Handa is a little girl who decides to visit her friend Akeyo, and bring her a basket of delicious fruit. As she walks along the dusty road, she wonders which fruit will be Akeyo’s favourite. On her way, some cheeky animals spy fruit in the basket and find different ways to take it! There’s a lovely surprise at the end that will delight children for many years. The story has appeal for younger children as they watch the way the animals find their favorite fruit. Older children enjoy the expressive language such as the sweet smelling guava and the creamy green avocado and the surprise ending!
