Welbeing Wednesdays

Nursery will be introducing our Wellbeing Wednesdays in February. The children will be asked to dress in a particular colour for the day to support their knowledge of colours. They will carry out focussed activities to develop their knowledge and understanding of healthy practises and will bring home some material for parents on various safety issues.
We will launch our first Wellbeing Wednesday on the 25th February. The children will be asked to dress in Red and bring in their toothbrush from home to carry out some activities based on caring for our teeth, we will also be role playing wearing our seatbelts and children will be bringing home some information to support Seatbelt Safety.

Recycle Recycle

After the half term holidays we will be continuing to look at our Traditional Story Books. We are looking to create a builders yard in the deconstruction area to support the story of The Three Little Pigs. If you have any wooden building blocks that your child has outgrown or have any old tubs, cartons, planks, containers etc  you could them donate to nursery to support your child's learning experiences in this area. Children will be learning to make believe play, play co operatively, share resources, communicate with others, be introduced to new language around building and The Three Little Pigs Story. They will be encouraged to problem solve and make marks when filling in design sheets and labels and take on roles of builders, using props to support their role-play. Children will also be encouraged to use ICT equipment to take photos of their creations.
