The Great Big Campout

The children had great fun at the campout. We started our adventure by discovering our campsite and investigating the tents, sleeping bags and camp fire. We then took our binoculars out into the woods to explore and collect sticks for our fire. On return to camp we sat around the fire while we cooked our quorn sausages and then made our own smors with biscuits, marshmallows and chocolate. We then had some spare time to act our our own camping adventures with our friends. All children leaving for school received a leavers certificates. It was a sad day saying goodbye to all our children leaving, we will miss you all. We hope you enjoyed your adventures at St Marys @ The Park and wish you all the best in your schools or new settings. Goodbye from us all x

The Big Campout

Remember tomorrow is our Big Campout, if your child has a sleeping bag, compass, torch, play tent or anything else camping related then please feel free to bring them in. It will be a very sad day as we say goodbye to all our school leavers.

The Isaiah Trust

Thank you to everyone who bought raffle tickets to take part in our chocolate raffle. We managed to raise £52.61 which will be donated to The Isaiah Trust, a charity, working to help some of Kenya’s most desperate children find a new beginning. Working on the streets of the 3rd largest city, Kisumu, with children who have no where else to live, children who find their food on rubbish dumps and whose comfort is a glue bottle.
Kisumu is in the Nyanza province of western Kenya, where poverty and disease leave children orphaned and alone, and where the HIV/Aids pandemic is costing a generation of people their lives.

Over 70,000 children are orphaned every year in Kenya alone. For some of these children, the streets of the towns and cities are their only hope for survival. And yet in those streets there is danger, sickness and despair.
Into this world, the Isaiah Trust is working to bring hope, education, training and a new future.
The Isaiah Trust is registered in the UK.
