Happy New Year to all our children and their families, 2016 is set to be another exciting year for St Marys @ The Park. We have started the year with two special celebrations already as our Hanna has turned 18 this week. Team Park will be celebrating both Hanna's and Fahmeeda's recent 18th birthdays with an afternoon of fun at The Trafford Centre this weekend. Our other special celebration is for our friend Alice from Holly Mount who is 105 tomorrow. Some of the afternoon children will be visiting her to sing happy birthday and take her a card. Amanda has also made her a small celebration cake to mark this very special occasion of seeing over a century of events go by. The Telegraph will hopefully be joining us so watch out for a picture in the paper.
We are starting 2016 with our topic all about Community People, there is so much to learn about and so many role's to explore that our topic will run right up to the Easter holidays. Our first community person we learning about is the Police including a visit from them on Thursday 7th January. If you have any ideas or resources that could support our topic on community people then please speak to Amanda. As we learn about and discover each new community person we will post a blog on what we have discovered along the way.
