Bringing the outdoors in

To further enhance children's learning about nature and observing changes over time we collected a big tub of snow and brought it into nursery to put in the water tray. The children were so excited and couldn't wait to touch it, talking about how cold it felt. The following day Amanda invited them back to look at the snow and it had of course melted and changed to water. This is a great way to show children how things can change over periods of time. In the new year we will be exploring this further with the pre-school children to develop their learning about the world.
