Susan's Christmas craft activity this week was Christmas Trees. The trees were a variety of different size and shaped triangles. The children made their own choices on how to decorate their trees using a wide variety of different textured materials. During the activity Susan talked about and encouraged discussion between the children about the feel of the different textures, using a variety of descriptive words, introducing new language to the children such as sparkly, tickly and fuzzy. Some of the children were able to use scissors competently to cut they own materials.
