Making Egg Butties

The children have used the cress that we grew at nursery and cut it down to use on their egg butties. E.Y.P. talked about how the cress had changed as it grew. The children also talked about and compared a raw egg and a boiled egg. The children then chose their bread preference and mashed their boiled egg up before making a butty out of it and eating it. The mashing of the egg also gave children an opportunity to develop their wrist muscles. Many children struggled with mashing the egg so we are going to have more practise mashing other things in nursery.
