To end our topic on pets the children have been exploring animal tracks and following them to try and find the hidden pets. Children used their critical thinking to observe what they could see and decipher some clues given to work out which animal had left the tracks and then followed them to see if they were correct. Many children showed great interest in the prints and were jumping from one print to another, stepping from one to the next or counting each track, they followed the tracks again and again, making up their own stories about them, who they belong to and what they might find.
