Some of the children showed an interest in wanting to make faces with playdough. An E.Y.P. created different colours of dough so that they could use different colours for different features. They then spent long periods of time creating different faces. Icing tubes were also introduced so that children could draw facial features on their dough. They learnt how to manipulate the dough into different shapes to create different parts. One of the children went on to use the dough to create her own little snowman. Manipulating dough is a fantastic activity to develop children's hand and finger muscles to enable them to write when they go to school.
